Joseph A. & Rhea M. Jeffries Memorial Scholarship
“Education was always important to our parents,” explains Carmella Jeffries, daughter of Joseph and Rhea. “We felt that by creating a scholarship fund in their name, it would be a wonderful way to keep them forever in our minds, as they are in our hearts.”
The Joseph A. & Rhea M. Jeffries Memorial Scholarship is a $750 scholarship awarded to Stark County residents who have demonstrated academic achievement, character, leadership, and service to their school and community. The first award was given in 1988 and hundreds of scholarships have been awarded since.
